Fairfax ReLeaf has a number of distributions, plantings, and training events each spring and fall with a wide variety of volunteer groups:

Formed in 1992, Fairfax ReLeaf has partnered with local communities and groups to plant over 225,000 native tree seedlings in and around Fairfax County. Some of the groups we worked with in the past are listed below as well as upcoming opportunities.

Sunday October 25, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM: Wildwood Park Habitat Restoration
Planting a Wetland Meadow as part of a Virginia Department of Forestry Clean Water Grant. Meet at Follin Ln entrance to Wildwood Park. You can park your car at Alma St SE.

October 3rd through November 1st: Tree Rescue Extravaganza II
A community-wide effort to rid our trees of the invasive vines that threaten them. Multiple events will take place throughout Fairfax where anyone can try their hand at personally saving trees by clipping the invasive vines (while preserving the native vines) at the base.
